Andile Ncube the words ‘ambitious’, ‘eloquent’ and ‘charismatic’ would immediately come to mind; and are in fact the contributors to Andile’s path to becoming one of South Africa’s leading and favourite sports presenters.
Originally beginning his TV career on the SABC music show ‘One’, Andile helped to transform the show into the channel’s flagship music show.
Not only did he harness his presentation skills, but he ultimately become one of the shows executive producers and he oversaw the process of transforming the show to what it is now, ‘LIVE’.
Andile has recently been announced as the anchor of two new shows, the most exciting football / talent show to ever hit Mzansi – Nedbank Ke Yona Talent Search and the world’s biggest talent search, XFactor – both airing on SABC.
With humble beginnings for Andile after establishing the successful show, he decided to explore other avenues to build his brand and whilst doing so, he discovered his passion for sport.
His height of football achievements came when he was invited to be part of the Ajax Football Academy, which was sadly cut short by a career-ending injury.
This did not dampen Andile’s love and passion for sport.
Andile was handpicked to broadcast at the FIFA World Cup in 2010, hosting the flagship football show on SABC 1, ‘Soccerzone’. The success of the show led to Andile hosting a weekly show called ‘Soccer 411’.
His expansive knowledge of both local and international football, makes him the perfect host for a show that is full of banter and expertise.
Other current shows include Nedbank Ke Yona Team Search on SABC 1 and Sports Goes Retro.
All of this, combined with Andile Ncube past radio career on 5FM and the Breakfast Show on TruFM are but a few of the reasons that Andile is one of the most influential young men in the South African entertainment industry. With his continuous love and passion, Andile is well on his way to becoming a powerhouse in the industry. Most recently, Andile Ncube has been welcomed as the new addition to the Radio 2000 sports show, which airs from Monday to Friday from 18:00pm – 19:00pm.
