Known for bewitching performances and a striking visual presence, Rosanthorn elevates the cello into a modern, genre-crossing experience that captivates diverse audiences.

The trio has released a world-first debut album as an all-female electric cello ensemble, showcasing their technical mastery and creative range. Their music explores the full expressive potential of the cello, blending classical foundations with contemporary textures and cinematic intensity, supported by collaborations with leading South African composers and producers.

Rosanthorn has performed at prestigious platforms including the Oude Libertas Concert Series, the Plett Music Festival, and Greyton Classics for All. They are in high demand for premium corporate and gala events, having performed for organisations such as YPO with audiences of up to 2,000 guests, as well as Toyota, ICC, Distell, Zeitz, and international tour groups.

Their media presence includes appearances on the Expresso Show and Hectic Nine 9, alongside features across leading print publications and radio stations including Cape Talk, KFM, and FMR.

ROSANTHORN CELLO TRIO are an innovative and one of the most enchanting new collaborations on the corporate entertainment scene. This stylish act takes the cello to new heights with their hauntingly beautiful music and bewitching performances.

Rosanthorn’s repertoire spans reimagined classics and modern favourites, including works by Vivaldi, Leonard Cohen, Imogen Heap, Bright Blue, and Abdullah Ibrahim. Original compositions by Anjulie Nock add a cinematic edge, from the dramatic Night Journey to a passionate original tango inspired by classic film scores.

The ROSANTHORN CELLO TRIO repertoire includes recordings and re-interpretations of works as varied as Vivaldi’s Double Concerto in G Minor, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, Imogen Heap’s Hide & Seek, Bright Blue’s Weeping and Abdulla Ibrahim’s Mannenberg. Anjulie Nock has composed new works such as Night Journey (with a stirring Game of Thrones feel) and an original Tango (think Scent of a Woman for Cello).

The Parting, by Helmut Meijer, is a reflective, stripped-down, soulful composition which inspired their first music video. Their second video (Secrets by One Republic) was released in May 2019 and was filmed at Zeitz MOCAA.
