Chilli ’n Lime, widely celebrated as The Jazz Maestros, is one of South Africa’s most in-demand jazz ensembles. Formed in 2006, the band has become a standout force on the national music circuit, known for its vibrant interpretations of traditional jazz, African favourites, and contemporary crossover arrangements. Their musicianship reflects a rare depth of experience: members have toured the world with renowned artists including Sibongile Khumalo, Themba Mkhize, Vusi Khumalo, Mango Groove, and even international icon Lauryn Hill.

Chilli ’n Lime has graced major stages such as the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, and the Cape Town Jazzathon. Hailed as The Jazz Maestros, Chilli ‘n Lime – Entertainment is a vibrant, young jazz band that has firmly established itself on the South African jazz scene and they have become one of the most popular jazz bands in the country.
Since their inception in 2006, Chilli ‘n Lime have performed alongside great South African artists including Mango Groove and Judith Sephuma.
The lineup includes Johannesburg’s finest talent performing traditional jazz and African favorites.
These musicians (in their individual capacities) have also performed worldwide with well-known artists such as Sibongile Khumalo, Themba Mkize and Lauren Hill.
They have also represented South Africa on a number of cultural awards and they have performed at jazz festivals such as New Orleans (USA 2005), Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, Cape Town International Jazz Festival and The Cape Town Jazzathon.
They have also collaborated with South Africa’s most respected artists – Hugh Masekhela, Themba Mkhize, Sibongile Khumalo, Zimology, Khunle, Lesego, Vusi Khumalo and Judith Sephuma (to name a few).
