Founded in 2011, Just 6 – Conference Band is a South African contemporary a cappella male ensemble renowned for their unique vocal artistry and genre-defying sound. The group blends Afro-Pop, Soul, Jazz, and Gospel influences into what they call “Afrocal-play” (African Vocal Play) a distinct fusion of indigenous African sounds and smooth vocal harmonies inspired by the traditions of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Take 6, Naturally 7, Pentatonix, and The Real Group.
Over the years, Just 6 has established themselves as a multi-award-winning group, having earned two national and two international awards. Their music—both inspirational and heartfelt has reached audiences across Southern Africa (South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe) and Europe (Germany, Switzerland). Their discography includes two EPs (Stimela and Take Me Back) and the award-winning album Kuzolunga.

Afrocalplay (Afro Vocal Play): a mixture of great vocal techniques first heard from Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Take 6, Naturally 7, Pentatonix and The Real Group in emulating instrumental sounds and resonances to produce music.
The six voices that form Just 6, Mthandazo Hospas (First Tenor), Luyanda Makapela (First Tenor), Fezile Mavuso (Second Tenor), Rashaka Mbevhana (Second Tenor), Nkosie Hospas (Baritone), and Molefe Moeketsi (Bass) combine to create a sound that is distinctly African yet globally resonant. Their performances are celebrated for blending technical mastery, cultural authenticity, and soul-stirring emotion.
Their awards include the Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards (CASA) – Best Religious Album 2014, Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards (CASA) Best Religious Song 2014, SABC Crown Gospel Awards, Best Acapella Group 2014 and INGOMA Awards, Best Acapella Album, 2015.
