Sisanda Henna is the winner of the 2003 Best Actor in Drama duku duku award, who has acted in more than 35 international and local film and television productions.
Brought up in rural Eastern Cape and an over achiever at school, Henna started out writing and performing comedy skits before landing leading roles in prime time television dramas on Sabc, Etv and M-net productions.
Living and working in Hollywood in 2007 and 2008 opened his eyes to the global film business and Henna returned to South Africa, kicking off a directing career.
Sisanda is an incredible facilitator, MC and speaker who is meticulous (and a little crazy) but authentic, through-and-through.
His previous clients have said he is passionate and knowledgeable about your their brands, products and subjects that the conference people think he is part of the team.
Sisanda Henna learnt that he is not the typical Xhosa South African man or typical anything. #Daddynator is the nickname his kids gave him.
He says the credentials for this title are well deserved. Having hanged more than 487 nappies, potty trained and sleep trained both boys, Henna redefines the term “hands-on” dad.
From funny stories on figuring out how to talk to your ‘ex-mamazala’ (mother-in-law) to pioneering international film financing models, winner of the Metropolitan Younger-Achiever Award and Best Actor, Sisanda has led many teams as a film director and producer.
Sisanda Henna – Conference MC leaves no stone unturned in his own life, exploring failure and the wins, the valuable lessons gleaned from changing perspectives, habits and the way in which we think.
Henna has hosted numerous television shows: including Gospel Gold the biggest gospel music show in the continent, and Vuk’ Uzenzele, a small business & entrepreneurship show on Sabc.
Henna commands a room with ease & excellence, connecting people to the subject and each other authentically.
At 36, Henna may not be a millennial but he understands hashtags.
