Talent Short Bio

Lonehill Estate is one of South Africa’s most accomplished and consistently engaging live rock bands. Known for their mischievous sense of humor, tight musicianship, and unforgettable stage presence, the band has built a reputation for shows that are as entertaining as they are musically powerful.

The band broke onto national radio in 2005 with hit singles Girl On A Roof and Skyward, which dominated South African airwaves and established them as a force in the local music scene. Their momentum continued with recognition in Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Bands to Watch” list in 2006 and a landmark international appearance in 2007, when they represented South Africa at the Global Battle of the Bands in London. Their drummer at the time won the award for Best Drummer, further cementing the band’s credibility.

In 2008, Lonehill Estate released their second studio album Hong Kong Dollar, featuring the hit single Memories. That same year, they performed alongside international heavyweights Muse, Korn, Good Charlotte, and 30 Seconds to Mars at My Coke Fest. Their music crossed into film in 2009 when their ballad Forty featured in the comedy Finding Lenny, starring Barry Hilton.

With their mischievous rock sound, Lonehill Estate shows are riddled with humorous anecdotes and eye-twitchingly good music. The band has achieved much in recent years.
