Elana gained widespread recognition through her performances in popular Barnyard Theatre productions G-String and Natural Women, where her expressive playing and visual flair brought classical instrumentation into a modern entertainment context. On the classical stage, she has performed acclaimed solo recitals at Music in the Gallery at the Nelson Mandela Square Art Gallery and at Kyalami Classics, demonstrating her depth as a serious concert violinist.

Her corporate performance portfolio includes high-profile events such as the Goodyear Awards, Southern Sun General Managers Conference, Sunday Times Small Business Awards, and numerous premium corporate functions hosted at the Barnyard Theatre for clients including Standard Bank and the Wildlife Trust.

Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Elana began playing the violin at the age of five. She trained for 12 years at the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov, before completing advanced studies at the State Academy of Music Pancho Vladigerov, where she earned a Bachelor Diploma in Higher Education with a major in violin performance and pedagogy.

Since her arrival in South Africa one year ago she has taken Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban by storm with her performances in the Barnyard Theatre productions of “G-String” and “Natural Women”.

On the classical front she has enchanted audiences with her solo recitals at the popular “Music in the Gallery” at the Nelson Mandela Square Art Gallery and at the Kyalami Classics (2004).

Elana Zlatkova has also made inroads in the corporate function market and has performed at numerous functions such as “The Good Year Awards”, “Southern Suns GM’s Conference’, “The Sunday Times Small Business Awards” and Barnyard Theatre corporate functions like Standard Bank and Wild Life Trust to name a few.

Elena hails from the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. She started to play the violin at the age of five. At the age of seven she went to study at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”, Sofia for 12 years.

Elana Zlatkova specialization was instrumentalist and pedagogue in the violin. From 1995 to 1999 she studied further at the State Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov also in Sofia, Bulgaria. She obtained a Bachelor Diploma for higher Education and a Major Degree Course in violin.

In September 2004 she performed with the internationally acclaimed “Philharmonia des Nation” (conducted by Justus Frantz) at the Linder Auditorium in Johannesburg. Elana Zlatkova was also a member of a classical trio based at Hyatt Regency Hotel (2002) as well as The Ritz-Carlton Hotel (March-July 2001) both of which are in Dubai
