Elana Zlatkova is a dynamic performer with an electrifying stage presence that has local and international audiences enthralled by her skill, dexterity and talent.
Since her arrival in South Africa one year ago she has taken Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban by storm with her performances in the Barnyard Theatre productions of “G-String” and “Natural Women”.
On the classical front she has enchanted audiences with her solo recitals at the popular “Music in the Gallery” at the Nelson Mandela Square Art Gallery and at the Kyalami Classics (2004).
Elana Zlatkova has also made inroads in the corporate function market and has performed at numerous functions such as “The Good Year Awards”, “Southern Suns GM’s Conference’, “The Sunday Times Small Business Awards” and Barnyard Theatre corporate functions like Standard Bank and Wild Life Trust to name a few.
Elena hails from the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. She started to play the violin at the age of five. At the age of seven she went to study at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”, Sofia for 12 years.
Elana Zlatkova specialization was instrumentalist and pedagogue in the violin. From 1995 to 1999 she studied further at the State Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov also in Sofia, Bulgaria. She obtained a Bachelor Diploma for higher Education and a Major Degree Course in violin.
In September 2004 she performed with the internationally acclaimed “Philharmonia des Nation” (conducted by Justus Frantz) at the Linder Auditorium in Johannesburg. Elana Zlatkova was also a member of a classical trio based at Hyatt Regency Hotel (2002) as well as The Ritz-Carlton Hotel (March-July 2001) both of which are in Dubai
