Kriya Gangiah Emcee first became known to the South African public in 2007 when she joined the TUKS FM team. It did not take long for the (then) 17 year olds career to take off.
In only three years, listeners could enjoy their lunchtime with Kriya as she hosted the ‘Out to Lunch’ show every weekday from 12:00pm – 15:00pm. This was the start of her relationship with the South African media.
Kriya’s diversity comes across in that she has worked in both radio and TV.
She has also been featured in various print media campaigns in her capacity as a model and she has started branching out into the world of business.
Some of Kriya’s career highlights include her involvement in ad campaigns by notable companies such as Coca-Cola and MTN as well as her five years as a presenter on eTV’ s youth program, CRAZ-E.
Kriya Gangiah Emcee varied interests and abilities became even more evident when she took on the role as producer and presenter on Ballz Visual Radio’s ‘The Business’ show with Ian F.
In her year on the show, her expertise in the business realm, (courtesy of her educational background and work experience as an IT Auditor at renowned professional services firm, Deloitte), helped her to take the show to new heights.
Kriya Gangiah Emcee did a three year stint at Joburg’s number 1 hit music station – Highveld Stereo where she was one of the most popular DJ’s on air.
In 2010, she made her silver screen debut in South African produced movie, ‘The Race-ist’ alongside the likes of Craig Palm, Ian Roberts, DJ Fresh and Jonathan Pienaar.
Kriya Gangiah enthusiasm and gratitude about her career is infectious. She is a well-rounded individual who is passionate about business and current affairs which has been proven by her former position with Deloitte.
Currently, her unique voice can be heard livening up Pretoria’s airwaves every weeknight between 19:00 pm and 22:00 pm on Jacaranda FM’s new show, ‘The Lunge’ alongside Cassy Clarke.
All this whilst her connection to the business world remains strong in her role as Senior Consultant at Deloitte in Vulnerability Management.
