Raised in the rural Eastern Cape, he excelled academically and discovered his passion for performance early on, writing and acting in comedy skits before securing leading roles on prime-time shows for SABC, e.tv and M-Net.
His time living and working in Hollywood during 2007 and 2008 expanded his understanding of global filmmaking and catalyzed a successful transition into directing and producing. Sisanda has since led creative teams and pioneered innovative international film financing models, establishing himself as a respected leader behind the camera as well as in front of it.
