SpeakerSavvy E-Book, If you have a powerful message to share with audiences and a burning passion to jump up on stage and do just that. But where and how do you start?
And then: how do you get an agent?
This book was written with both the aspiring and established speaker in mind. It’s a comprehensive, down-to-earth guide on starting or taking your speaking business to the next level.
In her light-hearted, pull-no-punches style, bureau owner Bronwyn Hesketh tells it like it is. Bound to ruffle a few feathers, the book is designed to help speakers avoid the pitfalls of the speaking industry while giving them solid advice on what she has seen work (and NOT work) over her 20 years in the industry.
If you are keen to shave a few years off your learning curve as a Professional Speaker, this is the book for you. My journey in the speaker industry has been rich with involvement, including being a founder member of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa, Past President of its Cape Town Chapter, and an active participant in the South African Association for the Conference Industry.
My agency was also the pioneering South African member of the International Association of Speaker Bureaus. Additionally, my role in the Business Women’s Association and being a finalist in the BWA Regional Business Women’s Achiever Awards in 2015, as well as being named one the Top 40 Women in MICE in 2017, have been some of the highlights of my career.
In 2017, I published “SpeakerSavvy E-Book”—a guide aimed at helping speakers at all levels enhance their careers, and the feedback from the community has been a source of great pride and joy for me.

I have always said that I have THE coolest job on the planet. I get to work with extraordinary human beings on a daily basis, connecting them with audiences who need to hear what they have to say. In fact – it’s not even a job: it’s an adventure and way of life for me. My purpose, really.
Over the last 27 years, I have been immensely proud and privileged to work with truly amazing South African speakers (and more than a smattering of Internationals, too), and now, as Chief of Client Relationships at Ode Management, I am eager to use my experience to forge deeper connections with speakers bureaus and expand our collaboration.
