Resolution” with a focus on the Tools, e.g., Key UN Resolutions and Geneva Conventions, Key Players in Conflict Resolution, Conflict Prevention and Creating Conditions for Sustainable Peace.
Also French-speaking, Solly Moeng lived and studied in France (where he obtained a French Master’s Degree at the Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon) before working in Canada and the US as South African Tourism’s marketing manager and country manager, respectively, managing South Africa’s country image and, while in the US, rolling out SA Tourism’s growth strategy in the US and Canada.
He was Head of Corporate Communications & PR at Woolworths – South Africa’s high-end Food, Clothing, and General Merchandise retail business – leading a team with the brief to protect and enhance corporate reputation. Prior to that, he had been Marketing & Communications Manager at the National Botanical Institute (now South African National Biodiversity Institute – SANBI) and the Cape Nature Conservation Board (whose rebranding to current CapeNature was driven by Solly Moeng)
Solly Moeng also acted as Corporate Affairs Head at the Central Energy Fund (CEF). He was later appointed as a special media advisor to the CEO of the Strategic Fuels Fund, a subsidiary of the CEF. In addition, he has worked as Business Development & Marketing Manager of Mesure, a South African facilities management subsidiary of French Multinational Construction company, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Basil Read. This position also enabled him to return to France, where he was based at the company’s vast campus in St-Quentin-en-Yvelines, just outside Paris. He also travelled to Nigeria with the company’s special project negotiating team.
Solly is an experienced columnist and media commentator, judge in various industry awards. Former part-time reputation management lecturer at UCT (Film & Media Studies Department), he is yet to complete his PhD at UCT, which is currently on hold until 2022. The focus of his PhD research is on the political communication around the SA government’s defunct nuclear newbuild procurement process; the relationship between government/political communicators and the media.
He completed the IMM’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing and attended courses at the respected Vega School of Branding.
Solly has led strategy development processes and provided corporate communications and reputation management advice to a number of international brands in retail, oil & gas, nuclear energy, biodiversity management, transport, destination management, lifestyle, logistics, development banking, territorial and country brands, etc. He has spoken at industry conferences and seminars in South Africa, Russia, Armenia, Switzerland, Zambia, and India, where he was also invited as Co-host for the India Brand Summit in late 2016.
He is former Vice-President of the Davos, Switzerland, based World Communication Forum Association (WCFA) and is an Independent Director of the Western Province Professional Rugby (WPPR), in South Africa. As a member of the Management Committee, he chaired the company’s marketing, media, and communications sub- committee.
More recently, in April 2022, he led a full day media training workshop for the Executive Mayor of Cape Town, South Africa, as well as his entire Executive Mayoral Committee members and support staff.

Launched in 2000 by violin teacher Kolwane Mantu who started teaching in violin in Soweto over 20 years ago, The Children’s Orchestra constitutes young children who have learnt how to play the violin.
Their small instruments were donated by “The Peace Boat”, an international educational and networking NGO from Japan, who visit various ports around the world and organise cultural exchanges with local communities.

Vasti Geldenhuys will make most people feel a bit uncomfortable in a court room, but for Vasti, it is a familiar territory.
In a world of exploration, dominated by men, Vasti always watched and supported from the sideline as her now husband, pioneering explorer, Riaan Manser, completed 3 World first’s. This inspired Vasti to do something extraordinary with her own life.
After a seemingly innocent request for a holiday to New York, Vasti never imagined that she would exchange her legal surroundings to something very, very unfamiliar. The mighty Atlantic Ocean. On a journey humorously but aptly called “Take Me to New York”, Vasti and her husband embarked from Morocco, enduring a 6 month journey at sea on a 6.9 meter rowing boat.
On landing in Miami, USA on 7 May 2014 the pair became the first people ever in history to have rowed from mainland Africa to North America. Vasti also became the only woman from the African Continent to have ever rowed across any Ocean.
They continued their journey by tackling the East Coast of the USA to finally reach New York City on 20 June 2014. Rowing up the Hudson River and passing by the iconic
Statue of Liberty.
In 2015 Vasti Geldenhuys completed her pupillage at the Cape Bar and was admitted as an Advocate. The thrill of exploration remained. In 2016, after tying the knot, the now husband and wife pair decided to set new a standard for the term “Honeymoon”.
Vasti Geldenhuys again tackled the Ocean, this time the mighty Pacific, on the exact same row boat. They rowed from California to Hawaii in a record breaking time of 39 days. They earned themselves another Guiness World record for the fastest mid-Pacific row. This record was previously held by a 4-man rowing team.
Hit by a 6 meter wave and capsized, 2000 km from shore; Riaan getting separated from the boat and Vasti unable to stop the boat drifting further and further away; 12 hour rowing days while managing a new marriage in life threatening situations are just a few examples of life at sea.
Storms and ship traffic provided for harrowing escapes from natural and human threats. But there were the quiet moments when the couple could reflect, savour the sunsets on the ocean and be intrigued by the amazing wildlife.

Bruce Fordyce is a well known name in Athletics after his record run in the Comrades Marathon over the years.
In 1977, when Fordyce ran his first Comrades Marathon, he placed 43rd out of 1,678 entries. He placed 14th in 1978, 3rd in 1979, 2nd in 1980, and he was the winner for an unprecedented eight consecutive years from 1981 to 1988; he won again in 1990. No other runner in the history of the Comrades has achieved this feat.
Bruce also held the record time for the “up” run (Durban to Pietermaritzburg) and his record of 5:24:07 for the “down” run (Pietermaritzburg to Durban) stood for 21 years from 1986 until it was broken in 2007 by Russia’s Leonid Shvetsov.

Freestyle: means no pre-rehearsal or structure to the performance. The performers arrive on site 30min prior to the performance time requested and do a 30min to 1 hr free style performance.
If the performance time is to be split this is to be arranged in advance. They prefer to work to music and can supply music but not sound systems. Strictly no Focal point applications can be applied when booking this style.
Focal Point: (incl Choreography and Stage Shows) means pre-planned, structured and rehearsed.
Focal Point entertainment is most suited to a stage but can be done on most surfaces and can be from 2min up to 60min performance, depending on the client requirements. (Focal Point Fire Shows are between 15 and 18min).
A minimum of 2 performers are required for Choreographed pieces but solo acts can also be booked.
Focal Point prices include 1 full dress rehearsal on site on the day for technical sound and lighting, cut & editing music, make up and their own costumes, unless client has a theme they want Dreams of Fire to fit in with, in which case costume making or hiring costs will be for the client’s account.
The price excludes additional rehearsals.
