Born and raised in Cape Town, Dave studied music at school and later earned a degree in Drama and Classical Studies from the University of Cape Town. He has been based in KwaZulu-Natal since 2007, performing regularly at leading venues across Durban, Ballito, Zululand, and the Midlands. With more than 20 years of live entertainment experience, he is also known to television audiences as a contestant on the first season of The Voice South Africa.

Having grown up in Cape Town, Dave studied music at school and later went on to graduate with a degree in Drama and Classical studies from the University of Cape Town.
