He is a multiple Savanah Comics Choice Awards nominee and has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a TV comedy or sketch series. He was selected to perform in Trevor Noah’s Nationwide Comedy Series and is touring his one-man show, Up n Up, around South Africa. He is the author of the forthcoming book The Life, Lies, and Laughter of a Comic.
Bongani Dube is the nephew of the famous comedy duo, The Pimps. He grew up with music in his home, learning music as he watched them perform. At the age of 12, he began performing music in clubs. In 1994, he performed at the first ever African World Cup Final in Italy, singing South Africa’s national anthem.
